SkyWrite.ca ("we", "us", "our") operates the digital billboard and signage management platform at skywrite.ca. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and operate the Platform — account management, content delivery, scheduling, billing.
  • Operate enabled workflows — billboard scheduling, marketplace sale workflows.
  • Security and fraud prevention — authentication, PIN verification, intrusion detection, abuse prevention.
  • Improve the Platform — analytics, performance monitoring, feature development.
  • Communications — service notifications, email invitations, security alerts, marketing (with consent).
  • Legal compliance — fulfil legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following circumstances:

  • Within Organizations — team members with appropriate permissions can view organization-level data.
  • Marketplace — limited seller information (display name, email for contact) is shown to potential buyers.
  • Service providers — third-party vendors who assist with payment processing, email delivery, hosting, and analytics, bound by data-processing agreements.
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate notice.

4. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained for the duration of your Account and for a reasonable period after closure for legal and audit purposes.
  • Billboard session logs and telemetry data are retained for operational and analytics purposes.
  • Content (Placards) is retained while your Account is active and deleted upon Account closure, subject to any ongoing Marketplace obligations.
  • Payment records are retained as required by tax and financial regulations.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under PIPEDA for Canadian users and GDPR for EU/EEA users), you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion — request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal obligations.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g., marketing emails).
  • Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.

7. Security

  • Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing.
  • Activation PINs use cryptographic hashing with lockout after repeated failures.
  • Session tokens and deactivation tokens are generated using cryptographically secure methods.
  • Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption.
  • We implement access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews.

No system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but take reasonable measures to protect your data.

8. International Transfers

The Platform is operated from Canada. If you access the Platform from outside Canada, your information may be transferred to and processed in Canada, subject to Canadian data protection laws. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. For material changes, we will provide notice through the Platform or by email.
